Vincents Celebrates at Newtown Festival in March 2010
During Newtown Festival earlier this year Vincents’
artists and tutors decorated and installed over 50 decorated
plywood tigers around the playground on the corner of Riddiford
and Constable Streets. On the fair day Vincents had an information
stall, sold raffle tickets for two Big Cat Encounters which
were kindly donated by Wellington Zoo and painted tiger faces
on more than 200 children for free!
This Vincents community event was supported by a grant from
Creative Communities Wellington Local Funding Scheme.
Tigers were sold for $25 each. We still have some tigers
left for sale and they can be viewed in our studios at:
Vincents Art Workshop, level 4, 84 Willis Street, Wellington.
